Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of lamed.la and any purchase you make from us. By placing an order you agree to them.

Ordering

Placing an order is an offer to buy. Your order is accepted when we send an order confirmation or dispatch the piece, whichever comes first. We may decline or cancel an order — for example if a piece has sold out, if there is a pricing or description error, or if we cannot verify payment or the shipping address. If we cancel an order you have already paid for, we refund it in full.

Pricing and availability

All prices are in US dollars and shown on the product page. The price you see on the product page is the price charged at checkout, before any applicable sales tax and shipping, which are shown before you confirm payment. We do not add undisclosed fees at checkout.

Because pieces are handmade and often one of a kind, availability changes. We reserve the right to correct pricing or availability errors, and to change prices at any time before an order is accepted. If a genuine error means we cannot honour a price, we will contact you and offer to fulfil at the corrected price or cancel and refund you in full.

Handmade pieces

Every Lamed piece is finished by hand. Small variations in finish, stone colour, and dimensions are inherent to handmade fine jewelry and are not defects. Photographs are taken of real pieces, but screen calibration means colour on your device may differ slightly from the piece in person.

Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details. You warrant that you are authorised to use the payment method you provide.

Shipping and risk

Delivery timelines, insurance, and signature requirements are set out in our Shipping Policy. Every order ships fully insured; risk of loss passes to you on delivery to the address you provided.

Returns and exchanges

Defective or damaged items are returnable, and unworn items may be exchanged for store credit within 7 days of delivery. Custom, engraved, resized, and worn items are final sale. Full terms are on our Returns & Exchanges page and form part of these terms.

Custom and made-to-order work

Custom commissions are quoted individually and confirmed in writing by email before work begins. Because they are made specifically for you, custom pieces are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. Deposits on custom work are non-refundable once production has started.

Care and use

Fine jewelry is not indestructible. Remove pieces before sport, swimming, sleeping, or handling chemicals. Damage caused by wear, accident, misuse, or third-party alteration or repair is not covered.

Intellectual property

The Lamed name, designs, photography, and site content are our property and may not be copied, reproduced, or used commercially without our written permission.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site to break the law, to scrape or bulk-copy our content or images, to interfere with the site’s operation, or to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of any order is limited to the amount you paid for the piece concerned. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and these terms do not affect your statutory consumer rights.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute will be handled in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here at the time you place your order.
