Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Lamed collects when you use lamed.la, why we collect it, who processes it on our behalf, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Order information — your name, email address, shipping address, billing address, phone number if you provide one, and the items you bought.
- Payment information — processed directly by Stripe. Card numbers are entered on Stripe’s systems and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We receive only a confirmation, the last four digits, and the card brand.
- Messages you send us — the contents of appointment requests, custom-work enquiries, and emails, including any details you choose to include.
- Usage data — pages viewed, referring site, approximate location, device and browser type, collected through Google Analytics 4.
- Security data — Cloudflare Turnstile runs on our forms to block automated abuse. It assesses the request, not your identity.
How we use it
- To take payment for, prepare, and ship your order.
- To contact you about an order, an appointment, or a custom commission.
- To handle returns, exchanges, and warranty or damage claims.
- To understand which pieces and pages people are interested in, so we can improve the site.
- To protect the site against fraud and automated abuse.
- To meet our tax, accounting, and legal obligations.
We do not sell your information
Lamed does not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not rent or trade customer lists.
Who processes data for us
We use a small number of service providers, each of which handles data only to perform its function for us:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregate site analytics.
- Cloudflare — content delivery, security, and Turnstile bot protection.
- Shipping carriers — to deliver your order and provide tracking.
- Our email and hosting providers — to run the site and correspond with you.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies to keep your cart working and to measure site usage through Google Analytics 4. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the cart and checkout may not work correctly if you do. Most browsers also offer a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control setting, and we honour Global Privacy Control signals as opt-out requests where applicable.
How long we keep it
Order and transaction records are kept as long as we are required to for tax and accounting purposes. Enquiries and correspondence are kept only as long as they are useful for serving you. Analytics data is retained on Google’s standard schedule.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, payment card data never touches our servers, and access to order records is limited to the people who need it to fulfil your order. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the sensitivity of what we hold.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or opt out of its sale or sharing — which, in our case, does not occur. California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
To make a request, email team@lamed.la with the word “Privacy” in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity — usually by confirming details of a past order — before we act, and we will respond within the time frame the law requires.
Children
lamed.la is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date below. Material changes will be noted on this page.
